This afternoon, David really seemed to come alive! He had so much fun playing with Al and me, throwing his ball and playing with his cars. I noticed that whenever I told him to give a toy to "Baba" (Daddy), David looked right to Al. At dinner, he was very animated, laughing, playing with his chopsticks, and interacting with Bill and the other members of our group.
Then, later this evening, I had my back turned to him while he was playing and giggling on the bed. I heard him shout, "Mama!", and when I turned, he was looking right at me, and threw his arms up for me to hug him. He had a huge grin on his face. He did it several times for me! My heart melted!
We're really getting a chance to see what a delightful little boy he is!

Oh Becky! I am crying happy tears reading this post!! I am sure you haven't heard more sweater words!
Hi, Becky! I'm back from Hearts at Home and getting caught up on all your posts. I hated missing them while I was gone. This post is wonderful. I am so pleased to hear he is relaxing, having fun and even enjoying hugs and calling you Mama! He looked very at home in your arms after the medical exam. That picture is just beautiful.
